I’m a Linux user, PC gamer, low-voltage technician, and longtime fan of retro technology. I began exploring Linux in early 2024 after deciding to move away from Windows. Since then, I’ve been trying different distributions and learning how to install software, solve problems, and make Linux work for the things I enjoy.
I’ve spent years playing PC games, especially MMORPGs and first-person shooters. That experience shapes many of the topics I cover here: Linux gaming, useful apps, AppImages, and practical fixes for common problems.
Learning Linux one step at a time
I’m still learning, so I write from the perspective of a curious user rather than a longtime Linux expert. My goal is to explain instructions in plain language, include the details a new user may need, and make it easier to understand what each step does. I share what I’ve tried and use reliable project documentation as a reference.
What matters to me
I value privacy, freedom of expression, and having more choice and control over the technology we use. I’m interested in VPNs and other privacy tools, while recognizing that no single tool solves every privacy or security concern. I also enjoy exploring retro computers, software, and games.
